My history crisis sort of reversed itself. Now I think art history is winning. Which means no Honours to finish off my degree but I’m not sure I can take the stress of doing that at the moment. A super painful year with only a 15,000 word thesis that doesn’t even need to be original to show for it.
Instead I would do a Graduate Diploma in art history which is four courses in connection with the art gallery. With a distinction grade average it turns into a Masters and I’d start on my thesis the next year.
Annnddd if I did Honours and decided to do art history (despite my Honours thesis being normal history) I’d have to do the Grad. Dip. courses anyway since it’s part of the Masters. So I’d just be wasting a year?
The only risk is that I may not get a distinction average but the last art history course I did I got an 88 so it should be doable.
Blergh! Trying to figure out my life sucks.
